Berkel Slicer – Model 9H
Built between 1936 and 1969, the Berkel 9H model is a medium-sized slicing machine. This machine is a mixture of experiences and has been very successful.
The carriage slides on rollers guided on the side by a rail, the same concept used on the model 20, patented in 1928; the feed mechanism with worm screw is perfectly identical to the model 8 with helical screw, the comb has a high-holding loading wheel and the feed is regulated by the classic “clock” with bakelite knob.
The drive of the Berkel 9H is by the classic solid flywheel, with “Berkel” decal.
The blade, 329 mm in diameter, is mounted on the arch-shaped shoulder with a white opaline glass top.
The sharpener is the classic and well-known Berkel one, with a painted cap and a front mask, all reduced in size. Later this will always be used on models with a large blade.
