Berkel Slicers - Europe

Berkel Slicer – Model P

DESCRIZIONE

The Berkel P model was built in the post-war period and it is an exclusively Italian production by the company “The auto-slicting-machine-Milano”; at that time it was responsible for the import, distribution and assembly of Berkel slicers.

It was a small model, designed for street vendors and bars.

The sliding of the carriage is on the pivot, the movement is driven by a flywheel of closed type with decals applied, and the upper carriage brings the worm screw under itself through a ratchet system. The screw is actionned inside by the new thickness adjustment clock with plastic knob.

The clamp is “open” arm type, it is fixed at the rear with two studs and open at the front, but it could be also “closed” type, with front and rear studs, free for access of large products.

The sharpener of the Berkel P slicer is covered with a top crome-plated metal “cap“, reduced in shape and size.

The blade is 295 mm in diameter, mounted on the arch-shaped shoulder with a white opaline glass top.
