Berkel Slicers - Europe

Berkel Slicer – Model 5

DESCRIZIONE

Built in the period between 1922 and 1928, the Model 5 is a refurbished version of the model 3 and also the first one to be assembled in Italy in the company BREVETTI VAN BERKEL ITALIA, in Chiavenna.

The machine has the carriage sliding on the pin, has a flywheeldriven movement of the closed type and the upper carriage carries the worm screw with the ratchet system to drive it against the thickness adjustment “clock”, perfectly identical to Model 3. The base is that of previous model.

The clamp to attach the product on two posts (front and rear) is quick-sliding.

The sharpener is renewed in its movements and shape, and is covered with a “cap” on top and a front mask. The blade, 370 mm in diameter, is mounted on the shoulder, no longer round but with an arched shape, to allow for greater depth and capacity of the white opaline glass table top inserted in a metal box.

This 1920s slicer, faithfully restored to its original features, represents a valuable piece of priceless beauty for fans of the genre. Contact us to find out more: we ship both in Italy and abroad.
