The model was <strong>distributed first in Italy<\/strong> by the Milanese retailer <strong>Bach &amp; Co<\/strong> and later also in South America where &#8211; in those very years &#8211; <strong>Berkel Argentina<\/strong> was founded. The machine, that in many aspects is similare to the Berkel C and D models (the first built in 1898), has a <strong>flywheel-driven movement<\/strong>, the carriage rests <strong>on four wheels<\/strong> and is guided by a blade that descends inside the casing; the <strong>upper clamp<\/strong> is held between two racks and also advances with the <strong>worm screw system<\/strong>, regulated by a numbered rod. The <strong>blade<\/strong>, <strong>350 mm of diameter<\/strong>, is mounted on the <strong>round shoulder<\/strong> to which the metal glove box and the nameplate are attached; the last one is different according to the countries where it is bought.
