My father Icilio<\/strong>, who has always had a passion for antiques and mechanics, gave himself<\/strong> a Berkel slicer<\/strong> as a spresent on his retirement; it needed to be completely restored.\u00a0 Since he was born in the land of cold cuts, he finally fulfilled his wish to discovered the magic of Berkel restoration<\/strong>. Hours and hours of passionate work earned him the satisfaction of having taken that jewel out of time, the first restored Berkel slicer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As it often happens, passions passe on from father to son<\/strong>. So, after having admired my father for years in his continuous research and dedication to his work, I discovered my love for restoration<\/strong> of Berkel<\/strong> slicers<\/strong> too. On the 14th of February 2000<\/strong>, “La Bottega del Restauro” was finally born<\/strong>: a small family business<\/strong> located in Viazzano<\/strong>, in the heart of the province of Parma<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Following my dream, I started collecting documentation<\/strong>, drawings<\/strong>, brochures<\/strong>, patents<\/strong> but above all the many Berkel slicers<\/strong> different models. Analysing every detail, me and my father began to restore our first model<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We also created the first website in the world<\/strong> talking about Berkel<\/strong> at 360 degrees.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, since 2002 we have been working directly with the Berkel company<\/strong>, which allows us to provide an official certificate of authenticity<\/strong> and a 10-year guarantee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
