He discovered a certain printing house that was in a state of bankruptcy. Boldly, he approached the owner and offered to turn the print shop into a workshop for the manufacture of his machines<\/strong>. His idea was accepted and in October 1898<\/strong>, the “Van Berkel” company was born<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n In the very first year<\/strong>, 76 machines<\/strong> of the most current model, the A model, three machines of the B model<\/a> and five machines of the C model<\/strong><\/a> were manufactured<\/strong>. From then on, the company continued to grow.<\/em><\/p>\n As is always the case, imitators sprang up all over the place, but no one then or now was able to match the original products<\/strong>.
